One of the most anticipated movies of 2023, Pathaan released in the theatres. Finally, a wait of over four years comes to and end for Shah Rukh Khan fans. Shah Rukh Khan’s last release was Zero, opposite Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in 2018. Pathaan is a part of Yash Raj Films Spy Universe. The trailer has already created a top buzz. Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan is fully loaded with powerful actions, style, stunts, thrills, and surprises. The advance booking of the film is terrific, and it is on a roll to cross the Rs 50 crore mark on Day 1 itself.

After the revocation of Article 370, Pakistan wants India to pay for this mistake. Outfit X is a private terrorist group that works on contract. They are planning a massive attack in India. Jim (John Abraham), a rogue agent, is set to seek vengeance against India. Shah Rukh Khan, an ex-army man turned undercover agent Pathaan, has been assigned to stop. Pathaan is Shah Rukh Khan’s one of the best action films ever. Shah Rukh Khan, as Pathaan, lives up to his expectations. His alluring aura, charm, persona, style, actions, and dialogue delivery are top-notch. The way he performs his actions will make you go gaga for him. His presence gets you intrigued in each of his scenes. Needless to say, Shah Rukh Khan is back, and he is back with a bang with Pathaan.
Deepika Padukone is kickass as Rubina Khan, and her character has various shades. Though her chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan is half-baked, not to forget it is not a romantic but an action film. Her action sequences are picturized brilliantly. John Abraham will give you Dhoom shades. He is outstanding as a villain and even overshadows Shah Rukh Khan in some scenes. Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia have nothing much to do in the film. We have seen these types of characters earlier many times.
The story of the film has loads of twists, turns, and surprises that keep you hooked throughout. Though there are some loopholes, but it quickly gets covered up with performances. The first half of the film is a build-up of Pathaan’s character. The second half of the film is terrific, with loads of twists, turns, surprises, and of course, a cameo 😉. You know what I mean, right? The twists will remind you of Abbas Mustan.
Siddharth Anand has learned much from War, and his work is impressive. There are scenes that may remind you of Gal Gadot’s Fast & Furious and Asphalt. But they look cool on screen. The background score of the film complements the action scenes. The songs are good, and yes, they will not break the momentum of the story. The VFX is above average.
Final Verdict
Pathaan is an action-packed film filled with a flavor of patriotism, twists, thrills, and surprises. Shah Rukh Khan is back with a vengeance. He will end the drought of flops. The audience is back in theatres, and it is mass entertaining. Indeed Shah Rukh Khan is delivering the first blockbuster of 2023. We recommend enjoying it with your family members on the big screen. So book your seats, grab your popcorn and enjoy some seeti maar performances and action rides. We give Pathaan 4 stars out of 5.
