Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba Movie Review
Phir Aayi Haaseen Dillruba is a good thriller drama. It has a love triangle, a murder, and some dark secrets. What works for the movie is its glorification of the characters. They make the characters more lively and relatable. However, despite these elements, the movie falls short. Even if you are not aware of the first film, the narrative in this one gets too predictable. The dialogues are fine but the overall plot falls flat.
Talking about the visual aspect, it captures the essence of a small town in UP but lacks in pacing. The first half of the film has good pacing but it gets slow in the second half. The director has done a good job but it could have been a lot better with a good storyline and screenplay. Nevertheless, regarding the performances, Taapsee Pannu is the star of the movie. She perfectly brings her character to life. Vikrant Massey, on the other hand, also continues to be reliable. His performance is brilliant as he brings his character to life with ease.
Sunny Kaushal delivers a solid performance in the film. He plays his part with sincerity. His expressions and dialogue delivery are good. Jimmy Sheirgill is also a good addition to the sequel. They come up with remarkable performance which tends to stay with you. Moreover, the background score by Sachet-Parampara enhances the narrative and makes it more interesting. However, the climax is disappointing but the film ends with a plot twist, hinting at the possibility of a third installment.
Final Verdict
Despite the flaws, it has entertaining elements that make it a good watch if you have nothing good to do. The overall plot fails to do justice. You can go ahead and watch it because of the good performances by the cast members. We rate this movie 3 out of 5 stars.
