Rohit Shetty is enjoying the success of Singham Again. The theatrical release of Singham Again was a big hit. The movie starred many big stars, including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, and Akshay Kumar. However, Singham’s classic theme song was not included in Singham Again, disappointing the audience.
Rohit Shetty Reveals Why Singham Again Theme Song Was Dropped
In an interview with Mashable, Rohit was asked why the theme song was removed. Rohit explained why he did not use that song anywhere. He stated, “Woh T-Series ne strike kar diya hai na. Isilye humko sab jagah se nikalna pada. Kya kare? Woh contract hi waisa hota hai, which is okay.”
When the interviewer questioned, why he didn’t retain the song, Rohit said, “Woh Waqt aise tha ki try karneka time hi nahi tha. We went on, made something new, and it worked.”
The movie’s theme was composed in 2011 by Ajay-Atul, and T-series released the soundtrack. When the title track of Singham Again was released, it had some of the elements from its franchise. Therefore, the copyright issue with the T-series was taken down. Soon after that, the makers reworked and re-released the song under SaReGaMa’s Channel.
