Shaitaan Movie Story
Madhavan, playing the role of the antagonist, seeks shelter at the home of Ajay and Jyotika. However, Jyotika detects an imminent threat and urges her husband to expel Madhavan, but her warning comes too late.
Adding to the tension, Madhavan asserts that he has hypnotized their daughter, using her as a weapon against them. Moreover, as Madhavan’s intentions remain unclear, Ajay and Jyotika find themselves in a desperate struggle to rescue their daughter. The film also offers a mix of action, emotional depth, and thrilling suspense.
Shaitaan Movie Review
Shaitaan presents an exciting blend of suspense and intense drama, wasting no time in getting to the heart of the story. The family moments are also filled with joy and charming innocence. Furthermore, the supernatural aspects are deployed effectively, with both the climax and post-climax scenes standing out. The creators skillfully craft the eerie atmosphere essential for the film’s impact, without which it would lack its current potency.
The performances in Shaitaan are outstanding, complemented by haunting background music that enriches the viewing experience. However, the film tends to lag slightly in the middle sections. It takes more cinematic liberties than necessary for a thriller, which detracts from its overall impact. At times, the movie may also feel repetitive.
Nevertheless, Ajay Devgn shines as Kabir, portraying the role of a family man with excellence. R Madhavan delivers a killer performance as Vanraj. Janki Bodiwala impresses as Janvhi, and Jyothika portrays the role of a helpless mother with sincerity and grace. Additionally, Aangad Raaj brings innocence to the film with his portrayal of the little kid Dhruv. The background score amplifies the vibe as well.
Final Verdict
Shaitaan is a compelling supernatural thriller that Hindi film audiences have been eagerly awaiting. Despite a slow post-interval block, the exceptional performances more than compensate for them. We give Shaitaan 4 stars out of 5.
