The journey starts with three-year-old solving complex math problems. She was an independent young woman, an independent spirit in 1950s London. The story keeps you engaged with fun and entertainment. She found her love in Paritosh Banerji played by Jisshu Sengupta. Once she became a mother, she left torn between motherhood and numbers. She was a renowned mathematician with astounding skills in solving complex math problems in record time. Shakuntala Devi also is known as the human computer was a renowned mathematician and a Guinness Book of World Record holder. Vidya Balan gets into the role of Shakuntala Devi with supreme confidence and perfection. Whether it was The Dirty Picture, Kahaani, Tumhari Sulu, or even Mission Mangal, she will always amaze you with her excellent acting skills. This movie is also no different. It is a story that should be told and no one can play the character with so much ease like Vidya Balan. Amit Sadh who played the role of Anupama’s husband fits into the character brilliantly. Director Anu Menon did a decent job of bringing the life of Shakuntala Devi. The music of the movie is above average. Sanya Malhotra also performed well.
