Shekhar Home Series Review
Shekhar Home is a series inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle’s ‘Sherlock Holmes’. It begins with a gripping storyline. In the series, the beauty is in its simplicity and it doesn’t overcomplicate the narrative. The first two episodes of the series catch you off-guard but from then on, it becomes even more interesting. The episodes are a mix of smaller crimes that come together to form the main mystery. Additionally, the writing of the series is sharp and crisp and ensures that each episode keeps you entertained.
Another plus point of the series is the cast performances. Kay Kay Menon in the role of Shekhar is brilliant. He brings his humor, eccentricity, and intensity to the table and makes the character very engaging. Ranvir Shorey’s character of Jayvrat also adds a bit of quirkiness that is quite interesting to watch. He complements Menon’s character perfectly. Everything including his acting skills to his dialogue delivery, Ranvir has done a brilliant job.
Rasika Dugal and Kaushik Sen also deliver decent performances. Kirti Kulhari was impressive in her role. Apart from them, other supporting cast also play their parts perfectly. At some parts, the series becomes predictable but is enthralling to watch. The combination of mystery, drama, and a little bit of romance at times might feel like a patchwork job. Each episode lasts around 40 to 45 minutes, which might seem a bit stretched. But to be honest, this is how the web series works, takes its own time to build up.
Final Verdict
Shekhar Home has a very talented cast and a promising premise. The series will evoke nostalgia and will bring cheer to Sherlock Holmes fans. The minor flaws can be ignored in front of the superlative performances and intriguing detective storyline. You can binge-watch this series during the Independence Day weekend. We give this series 3.5 stars out of 5.
