Shiddat Review
Shiddat takes us to the 90s era of cinema. Director Kunal Deshmukh, who has directed a hit movie Jannat tried his best to present an old wine in a new bottle. It is not the best work of him, but it is also not bad. As the name suggests, Shiddat is a passionate love story. However, some messy execution makes the second half look unrealistic. The first half is campus romance with dance, flirting, romance, and everything except academics. Sunny Kaushal gives a convincing performance with impressive dialogue delivery.
Radhika Madan and Diana Penty have limited screen presence, but they leave an impact on the audience with their performances. Mohit Raina steals the show. Without him, Shiddat would have failed. The music is good with some peppy numbers and romantic tracks. In the end, Shiddat is a predictable and passionate love story and can be watched once. We give it 2.5 stars out of 5.
