The shooting of movies and tv shows is halted in Maharashtra due to the coronavirus pandemic. Many TV serials have shifted the base of the shooting to different cities. The popular sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! has the bank of episodes ready and they have not shifted the base. However, now the team is traveling to Surat, Gujarat for the shoot and Shubhangi Atre is also joining the crew. Recently, Shubhangi Atre recovered from COVID-19. Shubhangi Atre is one of the most popular actresses on Indian television. Her role of Angoori bhabi in the sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! is very popular. Many people remember her by her character name. Talking with ETimes, Shubhangi Atre told,
“It has been around two months since we stopped shooting for the show. We had a healthy bank of episodes, which lasted for so long. The credit for it goes to our producer, Binaifer Kohli. The unit works in such a way that we work more productively and never struggle with the bank of episodes. Now, we are finally resuming the shoot. We are going to Surat on May 22.”
She recently recovered from COVID-19 and now she needs to travel for the shoot. Shubhangi Atre said,
“Yes, I have just recovered from Covid and still feel a little weak. When I told my parents that I will be going to Gujarat, they panicked. They asked me to cancel my travel plans. But my family knows that I want to get back to work. As an entertainer, my primary job is to keep my audience engaged and happy, especially during such challenging times. I have assured them that I will take care of myself.”
Shubhangi Atre also told how her husband Piyush Poorey is taking care of her and is busy packing a first aid kit for her. She told,
“My husband (Piyush Poorey) has told me to take utmost care and follow all precautions. He is busy packing a first aid kit for me filled with medicines and supplements. My 15-year-old daughter (Ashi), who is a voracious reader, has been giving me all COVID-19-related information and told me to be responsible. I will make sure I maintain social distancing at all times, will wear a mask throughout, and sanitise regularly.”
She is doing fantastic work as Angoori Bhabi in the serial Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!. Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! is one of the most popular sitcoms on Indian television.
