According to the reports, Smriti Irani is returning to television after 15 years in Rupali Ganguly’s hit serial Anupamaa. The serial has leaped for 15 years, and the rumor is Smriti Irani is ready to join the cast.

Earlier, we saw several lead actors from the show have called it quits. According to the reports, Smriti will be a part of the post-generation leap. If it turns out to be true, Smriti Irani will return after 15 years of long break from the television industry.

As many lead actors left the show. Audiences who love the show are confused. What will happen next? Smriti Irani will have a special cameo opposite Rupali Ganguly in Anupamaa. She was last seen in the comedy show maniben.com, which aired in 2009. Later, she worked in the Bengali film titled Amrita. She joined politics and quit acting. In 2003, she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.

I would be thrilled to see both of the finest actresses in one show. I guess Anupamaa will be more interesting because of Smriti Irani’s appearance. As people love her for her role, seeing both of them in one show would be more interesting.

Cast Of Anupamaa

In Anupamaa, Adhya’s character, which Aurra Bhatnagar earlier played, is now played by Alisha Parveen. Whereas Shivam Khajuria from Yeh Rishta, Kya Kehlata Hai has joined as Anupamaa’s right hand. The show currently features the older version of Anupamaa as a part of its storyline. However, Gaurav Khanna aka Anuj has not been seen yet.

Ranjan Shah’s show Anupamaa started in 2020, a remake of the Bengali series Someyee. The hit serial has remained on the TRP charts ever since its debut. The show is aired on StarPlus channel from Monday to Saturday at 10 PM.
