Srikanth Movie Review
Srikanth movie has an excellent narrative showing Srikanth’s journey from his rural life to his higher studies abroad. Additionally, the movie has a light tone and it focuses on sensitive like bullying and the unfair rules of the Indian education system. The makers have also included several humorous moments making the narrative even more fun. However, in the second half of the movie, the story depicts the harsh realities of life. Here, the pacing also slows down when compared to the first half. But the narrative again gets its momentum in the climax.
Moving further, Rajkummar Rao plays the role of Srikanth Bolla. He is brilliant in his role and brings authenticity and depth. Jyothika also shines in her role as Devika, Srikanth’s mentor. She brings warmth and strength to the character. The movie wouldn’t have been so interesting without Jyothika’s exceptional performance.
Additionally, Alaya F plays the role of Swathi, Srikanth’s love interest. She adds tenderness and depth to the narrative. Sharad Kelkar also delivers a top-notch performance as Ravi Mantha, the investor.
The director also did a fine job and tried to celebrate Srikanth’s determination. Moreover, the background score of the movie helps a lot in elevating the narrative. However, one major drawback of the movie is that it feels like the screenplay seems to follow a linear path towards the end. This seems to take away some of the film’s charm. Nevertheless, the one thing that keeps the film going in moments like this is the exceptional performance of Jyotika and Sharad Kelkar.
Final Verdict
Overall, Tushar Hiranandani’s film beautifully depicts the human spirit and determination. The stand-out features of the movie are Rajkummar Rao’s stellar performance and the compelling narration. Although there are a few drawbacks, the reality of the narrative will leave a smile on your face. We give the film 3.5 stars out of 5.
