Stree is back in the village. Yes, you read that right. Maddock Films is back with the second part of the horror comedy film Stree. Stree 2 features a stellar cast including Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana.
Stree 2 Teaser Review
In the film, the town of Chanderi becomes a pivotal part of a tale that is still evocative, full of both terror and humor. After six years, the group has come back, along with its antics. Additionally, Tamannaah Bhatia makes an astounding and unexpected cameo.
The teaser begins with a huge statue of Stree. Below carved “Oh Stree Raksha Karna” indicates how after the first part of the film, people made peace with Stree and accepted her as the savior of the village. But the new development in no way indicates peace. People black out the “Oh Stree Raksha Karna” slogan from the walls. Well, whether it indicates Stree’s change of attitude or her incomplete retaliation will be decided later. The teaser shares glimpses of horrific events that will take place after the return of Stree. Rajkumar Rao is seen regretting his action of chopping off Strees ponytail in the previous part. He offers her to massage her hair with warm oil, adding humor to the petrifying movie.
The movie promises laughter with many jumpscares. Along with the craze, there is now twice as much fun, spookiness, and silliness.
Abhishek Banerjee Felt Nostalgic
He stated in an interview, “Stree 2 is going to be bigger and double the fun. All the actors are deeply immersed in their characters. I had a lot of fun with Apar (Aparshakti Khurrana) and Shraddha Kapoor. It was a reunion of sorts. I was telling my co-actors that, for me, it was more of a sense of nostalgia as we landed in the bylanes of Chanderi. It was my first film as an actor in a prominent role, and first times are always special.”
Stree 2 is releasing on August 15, Independence Day alongside Khel Khel Mein starring Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, and Vedaa starring John Abraham. Well, too much depends on the trailer cut that which film will gain the advantage during the box office clash. Stree 2 definitely has an upper hand because of its prequel.
