Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Movie Review
Swatantrya Veer Savarkar gives us a glimpse into the narrative that shaped India’s freedom struggle. The film is more than just a biopic; it is also an epic and daring retelling of India’s armed revolution. It is crafted with extreme passion. The narrative is gripping and keeps the audience interested throughout its runtime. Moreover, the screenplay is perfect, and the dialogues are praiseworthy.
However, there are certain scenes where you might feel that the film is a bit long. Keeping this aside, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is a movie that you must watch. Furthermore, moving on to the performances, Randeep Hooda delivers an exceptional performance. It can also be the best performance by an Indian actor in recent times. Additionally, although Ankita Lokhande has less screen time, she still does justice to it.
Amit Sial’s performance as Vinayak’s brother is also excellent. Other supporting actors in the film also provide good support. Meanwhile, after watching a few scenes, you feel like they are perfect on the dialogue and performance side but lack depth. However, among the many patriotic films that Bollywood has, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is the better one. Some minor improvements could have made it even more interesting.
Final Verdict
Randeep Hood’s visualization of Savarkar’s life makes for a good, engaging cinema. Although there are minor flaws, its plus points are more powerful and impactful. We rate this movie 3.5 out of 5 stars.
