Sudipto Sen’s The Kerala Story has started its second week at the box office on a high note after dominating the ticket counters for a week. However, compared to the seventh Day, its collection grows each Day. As a result, the film will achieve the Rs 100 crore mark today.

The Kerala Story made Rs 12.50 crore on its eighth Day, the same as it did on its seventh Day, i.e., Rs 12.54 crore. This takes the film’s total earnings to over Rs 94 crore. The picture continues to do well in theatres, with a 25.77% occupancy rate in the Hindi-speaking market.

After opening with Rs 8.03 crore, The Kerala Story saw an increase in its first weekend collections, with Rs 11.22 crore coming in on Saturday and Rs 16.40 crore coming in on Sunday. Its first Monday brought in Rs 10.07 crore, followed by Rs 11.14 crore on Tuesday, Rs 12 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 12.50 crore on Thursday.
With the rate at which The Kerala Story is expanding at the box office, it will soon surpass Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which concluded its run in theatres with a mere Rs 107.71 crore. Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa (Rs 82.04 crore), Akshay Kumar’s Selfiee (Rs 16.85 crore), and Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada (Rs 32.20 crore) are among the star vehicles that the Adah Sharma starrer has already surpassed. However, it has not been able to overcome Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files, which is seen as being on par with The Kerala Story.
