Sohum Shah has released the announcement video for Tummbad 2. The video starts with Vinayak and his son Pandurang on screen. A message with Sohum Shah’s voiceover is added. It says, “Samay ka pahiya gol hai, jo beet gaya who fir laut ke aayega… darwaaza bhi ek baar phir khulega.” It means time never stops, history repeats itself, and the door will open once again. The video ends with “Pralay, Pralay phir aayega (Disaster will strike… it will strike once again).

It’s a story of a father and son looking for hidden treasure in Tumbbad, which is a village in Maharashtra. Vinayak Rao is the main lead in the film. The story takes place in an old castle with dark secrets. The movie is a mixture of mythology, horror, and fantastic visuals. The making of this movie started in the year 2008, but it stopped due to money issues. In 2018, the movie was offered to Nawazuddin Siddiqui. But for some reason, it could not get any further. Later, Sohum took the main least, and the project restarted in the year 2012. Sohum Shah, the actor, and producer of the film said,

With Tumbbad 2, we want to push the cinematic experience and boundaries even further. Tumbbad 2 will take the audience deeper into the world we’ve created, with bigger twists and a more intense exploration of what happens when greed knows no limit.”
In an interview Sohum said,
“The first movie did not get its due in 2018, so he decided to re-release it. Further speaking about Tumbbad 2, he added that they took six years to come up with a sequel, and it will present a totally different story.”
Tumbbad 2 will be a continuation of Tumbbad, but the story will be taken ahead by Vinayak’s son, Pandurang. He will follow the path of immortality. Further details of the movie were kept hidden. Fans can expect Tumbbad 2 to put a remark in their heads.
