2nd August witnessed the release of two Bollywood films. Ulajh and Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha recorded a slow performance at the box office. The box office and worldwide collections of the new releases are not in a great position. Considering the new releases slated for 15th August, the films might not be able to register a record-breaking performance at the box office. Here are the stats of the films.
Ulajh Day 2 Box Office Collection
Janhvi Kapoor‘s thriller, Ulajh shows the difficult journey of a young diplomat. As difficult as the journey of the young diplomat, the box office performance also struggles to shine. The thriller fails to attract a large audience and intrigues the crowd through the narrative.
From the first-day collections of ₹1.15 crore, Ulajh scarcely exhibited any growth. Early estimates state that Ulajh made ₹1.7 crore nett on its second day at the box office. Ulajh’s two-day release has brought the India total to ₹2.85 crore. On Saturday, Ulajh had a 19.11 percent Hindi occupancy rate overall. 8.64 percent of theaters were occupied overall for morning shows. It was 18.02 percent for afternoon performances, 21.33 percent for evening shows, and 28.45 percent for night shows.
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Day 2 Box Office Collection
Auron Mein Khan Dum Tha is a musical love saga featuring the iconic chemistry of Ajay Devgan and Tabu. The romantic narrative tells the story of a young couple who separate as the boy is jailed for a crime he committed at a young age. His years in prison cost the duo their years of love. After completing the tenure at the prison, the couple meet again but with the woman now married to someone else.
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha reportedly made about ₹2.15 crore on Saturday, according to the report. It only marginally increased from its ₹1.85 crore net first-day figures. After adding up the receipts from both days, the movie has made almost ₹4 crore net in India thus far. The analysis states that on Saturday, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha had 10.93 percent Hindi occupancy. When it came to morning presentations, the theater occupancy rate was 6.57 percent overall. It was 10.28 percent for afternoon performances, 11.85 percent for evening events, and 15 percent more for night shows.
Poor Performance Of The New Releases
The two new releases, Ulajh and Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha failed to register a great performance at the box office. Although the narratives of the films stand unique, the competition got unfavorable for the films. Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool and Wolverine have impressed the audience and the testament to that is the incredible box office collection. Considering the new releases, Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein, and Vedaa on 15th August 2024, Ulajh and Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha might not be able to perform well at the box office.
