Uunchai Review
Uunchai is a film that beautifully showcases the true meaning of friendship and freedom. The script flows at its own pace with adequate funny, emotional, and even thrilling moments. It is safe to say that the story by Sunil Gandhi is highly touching. Furthermore, Abhishek Dixit’s dialogues are simple yet impactful. On the other hand, the directorial work of Sooraj R Barjatya is as mesmerizing as ever. The movie has a fantastic cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Parineeti Chopra, Sarika, Neena Gupta, Nafisa Ali, and the ensemble. The cinematic experience is, without a doubt, wholesome.
However, what turns out to be a negative factor is that the film’s runtime is a bit too long. Secondly, this is indeed a family watch; however, it might not be very appealing to the youth audience. Talking about the music, it is pretty mediocre and does not bring something exceptional to the table. Talking about Neena Gupta, Danny Denzongpa, and Parineeti Chopra, even after being supporting characters, they make their presence felt, and that is commendable.
Final Verdict
Overall, Uunchai is a heartfelt saga of friendship and finding one’s inner strength. With such a simple yet impactful storyline and top-notch performances by the lead cast, it is safe to say that the film is indeed a one-time watch. We prescribe Uunchai if you want to spend quality time with your family over the weekend while watching a decent movie. We give Uunchai 3.5 stars out of 5.
