John Abraham, Sharvari Wagh, Abhishek Banerjee, and Tamannaah’s film Vedaa is all set for OTT release. The film was released theatrically on Independence Day. Despite good reviews from critics, the movie could not do well at the Box Office. This is mainly due to the clash between Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 and Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor’s Khel Khel Mein. Stree 2 has single-handedly spoiled the numbers of the other two films.
Vedaa OTT Release Date
If you missed watching this drama-action movie, Vedaa’s OTT release date is finally out. It is all set for the OTT premiere. Vedaa will stream on ZEE5 from October 10. The film will be available in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. Vedaa follows the journey of a young woman, Vedaa. Inspired by true events, the movie is filled with drama and action. It is directed by Nikkhil Advani.
John Abraham plays the role of Major Abhimanyu Kumar, a man with a tragic past. Sharvari played the female lead role. We can also see stars like Tamannaah, Abhishek Banerjee, and Ashish Vidyarthi, among others.
Vedaa Review
Praneet Samaiya gave the film 3.5 stars and called the film ‘Intense.’ He wrote in his review, “Director Nikkhil Advani is known for bringing intense stories with high-octane action sequences, and Vedaa is no different. He has carefully crafted Vedaa with a blend of action and societal issues. John Abraham is powerful as usual. He aces the action scenes perfectly with good dialogue delivery. Sharvari Wagh shines brightly in the titular role of Vedaa. She brilliantly showcases Vedaa’s helplessness and her strength. At times, Vedaa stumbles, mainly because of the social issues that have been explored before.”
Vedaa had a dismal run at the worldwide box office. The result was not satisfying. The film has collected less than Rs 30 crore worldwide. Vedaa collected around Rs 21.47 crore nett in India and Rs 3.25 crore overseas. The total worldwide collection is Rs 28.75 crore overseas. It is a big disappointment for a big star like John Abraham.
