Director Vikas Bahl gave an iconic women-centric film, Queen, almost a decade ago. The movie starred Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. The movie was celebrated widely for its inspiring story of a woman who goes on her honeymoon alone after her fiancé calls off the wedding just a few days before. Rani, played by Kangana Ranaut won a lot of praise from the audience and the critics.
Kangana Ranaut In Queen 2?
In a recent interview, Vikas Bahl was asked about his intentions for the sequel to his hit movie. In response, Vikas said that he has been working on the sequel for a while now, and they finally have something concrete. It’s been ten years since Queen’s release, yet the number of people who keep asking me about Queen 2 makes it feel like the film came out just yesterday!

This is inspiring news for all Queen fans. Vikas Bahl gave a hint of Queen 2 in the making. Kangana Ranaut then shared this news on her Instagram page with the reaction ‘Yes’.
Talking about the sequela of Kangana’s films, the actress may also share the screen with R Madhavan again for Tanu Weds Manu 3. Director Aananad L Rai confirmed his plans for making the third part a few times back.
Kangana In “Emergency”
Kangana is making her directorial debut with Emergency. She will be portraying former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The movie also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, and Mahima Chaudhry. This political drama was supposed to be released in September this year, but could not get CBFC certification and was stalled. However, it’s all clear now and the film is scheduled for January 17, 2025 release.
